Federal Govt Announces Salary And Pension Advance For Eid-ul-Fitr
The federal government decided to pay salaries, allowances, and pensions in advance to all active and retired civil servants due to Eid-ul-Fitr in April.
The decision was reportedly taken during a consultation meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, with the latter instructing the Finance Minister to take action as soon as possible.
On the other hand, the Ruet-i-Hilal Central Committee has also called its monthly meeting to survey the Shawaal Crescent. The date is set for Thursday, April 20 (Ramadan 29). Area committees also meet in specific areas on the same day.
The central meeting will be held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony building in Islamabad. President Molana Abdul Khabeer Azad will chair the session.
Meanwhile, the federal government will soon announce the holiday of Eid-ul-Fitr. The Cabinet Department has reportedly sent a summary to the Prime Minister’s Office on the matter.
Reports have also claimed that there will be 5 public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr. According to reports, the holidays will start on April 20th and end on April 24th.
