On June 29, the Ruet-e-Hilal Central Committee announced that the Zil-Hajj moon had not been seen in Pakistan, adding that Eid ul Adha would be observed in Pakistan on July 10 (Sunday).

President Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad announced the decision after a committee meeting held in Karachi after Maghreb’s prayers to view the crescent moon.

At a press conference, Azad said there had been no reports of the moon sighting anywhere in the country.

The first day of Zil Hajj would fall on July 1 (Friday), he added.
