Federal Govt Announced 4 Day Holidays For Eid-ul-Fitr
The government has decided to declare a four-day holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr this year.
According to sources inside the cabinet, the federal cabinet has designated four public holidays, from Monday, May 2 to Thursday, May 5, for Eid.
A notification about this is expected to be published on Wednesday.
According to PTV News, the Home Office had sent out a summary of three Eid holidays. However, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved four public holidays for the religious festival.
Since public offices are not open on Sundays, government employees are more likely to take advantage of the five Eid Day holidays, with Friday 6 May and Saturday 7 May being the only working days of the entire week.

Meanwhile, astronomers have predicted that the month of Ramadan will last 30 days as the Shawwal moon is less likely to be sighted anywhere in the country on the night of Ramadan 29 (Sunday, May 1st).
Therefore, Eid-ul-Fitr is most likely observed on May 3rd in Pakistan.
