FBISE Suddenly Changes The Passing Percentage Of Matric And Intermediate Annual Exams
In a surprising development, the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has announced an increase in the passing percentage.
According to the official announcement, the passing percentage of the secondary school leaving certificate (SSC) and the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) has increased from 33% to 40%.
In a separate development, FBISE decided to run separate practice exams instead of compound exams at the SSC and HSSC levels.
The Federal Council announced via Twitter that the practical exams for classes 9, 10, 11, and 12 will be carried out separately. The decision will come into force from the annual reviews in 2024.
Also, FBISE and EduCareer, a career guidance and education platform, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch EduCareer in Malaysia.
