Fawad Chaudhry Says Govt Can’t Be Able To Provide Jobs
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has requested the public not to keep an eye on the government for jobs.
Addressing the second Deans’ International Conference of Engineering Institutions in Islamabad, the minister further stated that the govt will not be able to provide jobs to the public. “Instead, I want to inform you that the government is going to dispersed 400 departments,” he added.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member further stated, “In Pakistan or somewhere else in the world, governments are contracting.”
“It is imperative to make people realize that the government cannot provide jobs. If we start looking towards the government for jobs then the framework of our economy will collapse. It was the mentality of the 1970s that governments would provide jobs — now the private sector provides jobs,” he added.
It is suitable to mention here that the PTI government had declared to provide 10 million jobs to youth in its election proclamation.
In the meantime, Fawad Chaudhry has explained in a tweet that the government aims to develop a conducive environment for new jobs, adding that it is not mandatory that everyone will get a government job.
