As per the school, Espinoza suffers non-life-threatening injuries and he is expected to be released from the hospital on Friday.

School Shooting & YES Prep Southwest Principal Injured
As per Finner, the suspect entered the school by pulling a closed glass door. The suspect then opened fire on a school employee who was shot in the back.
In a press release, the school confirmed that the principal of the shooting school was Eric Espinoza.
As per the school, Espinoza suffers non-life-threatening injuries and he is expected to be released from the hospital on Friday.
School officials brought the good news after the chaos that followed the campus shootings on Friday morning.
No student was injured and the alleged gunman, identified by police as a 25-year-old black man who previously attended YES Prep Southwest, is on remand.
Officers searched the school for other possible suspects. Immediately after the shooting, Eyewitness News cameras recorded officers in tactical gear moving as students were evacuated with their hands raised.
YES, Prep Southwest has announced that it will meet with students and families before school resumes next week.
“We cannot imagine the horror you must have felt as events unfolded. The shocking incident on [Friday] is not to be experienced or overcome by any student, parent, or educator on their own. We have counselors ready to help anyone who needs support over the weekend, next week, and throughout the school year,” the school wrote.
Suspect Arrested
Police Chief Troy Finner said a 25-year-old former student was in custody after opening fire at a YES Prep charter school in Houston.
Finner said the suspect, whose name was not immediately released, entered the school by pulling a closed glass door. “He immediately shot one of the school employees.”
What Police Have Investigated Up Till Now?
Police gave Espinoza first aid. He was later taken to the hospital.
The suspect is said to be a YES Prep alumnus. Officers informed the police.
“I don’t think a child or anyone should see it, but it is the world we live in,” Finner said towards the end of his press conference.
