Emirates Will Offer Ultra-Fast Internet Service On Board
Emirates, a Dubai-based airline, has announced plans to offer high-speed internet on its next 50 Airbus A350s due to take off in 2024.
The inflight broadband, operated by Inmarsat by GX Aviation, will further enhance service delivery for Emirates, already recognized as one of the best airlines in the world.
Once launched, the Airbus A350 will be the first aircraft to use Inmarsat’s Global Xpress satellite network, which provides global internet coverage even in remote areas.
It’s worth noting here that the airline ordered these 50 planes in 2019 for $16 billion. However, due to the pandemic, deliveries of these aircraft have been postponed.
Emirates invests more than US$2 billion to improve passenger experience on board. In this regard, it launched an initiative to upgrade 120 aircraft with modern interiors and other subtle refinements.
In August last year, the President of the Emirates, Tim Clark, announced the launch of several programs for the above improvements to the emirate’s fleet.
