Dubai’s Most Expensive Villa Sells For $204 Million

Bloomberg reports that Dubai now has the most expensive mansion for sale. The Versailles-inspired mansion costs AED750 million (US$204 million) and is located in Emirates Hills. It offers a stunning 60,000 square feet of interior space and includes five bedrooms.

One of the outstanding features of this villa is the size of the master bedroom, which measures 4,000 square meters. To put it in perspective, this single room is larger than the average house.

The ground floor of the mansion is spacious and designed for dining and entertaining. The property also features incredible amenities such as a 15-car garage, indoor and outdoor pools, two domes, a massive 70,000-liter coral reef aquarium, a power substation, and even panic rooms for added security.

The mansion is situated in a secure gated community and has stunning golf course views. It stands on a sprawling 70,000 square meter lot.

It was called “Marble Palace” by trade representatives. This house took almost 12 years to build, with an estimated investment of around AED 80-100 million made in Italian stone alone. Adding to its splendor, about 700,000 sheets of gold were applied over a period of nine months by 70 skilled workers.

The mansion currently displays around 400 pieces from the owner’s personal art collection, which mainly consists of statues and paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries. The owner is willing to negotiate the inclusion of this artwork and furniture in the sale. However, the identity of the owner, who is a local real estate developer, is unknown.

According to Kunal Singh, an agent at Luxhabitat Sotheby’s, it is important to note that the unique style of this property may not be to everyone’s taste.
