Dubai’s Main Airline is Warning Passengers Of A New Virus Outbreak
Dubai-based airline Emirates has issued an alert for its passengers traveling to Oman following the outbreak of the deadly Marburg virus. The move comes after Omani authorities issued a warning to all airlines about the disease.
According to the advisor, those who have traveled from affected countries should self-isolate and seek help if they fall ill within 21 days of travel.

The United Arab Emirates has also issued a travel warning for its citizens, urging them to avoid travel to two African countries affected by the highly contagious Marburg virus outbreak.
Equatorial Guinea and Tanzania have reported at least 10 deaths from the deadly virus, which is identical to Ebola, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) took to Twitter and warned its citizens not to travel to countries affected by the virus. The ministry has warned the public to postpone travel to those states for their welfare.
He also advised citizens currently living in or visiting these countries to take precautions and follow the safety protocols issued by the authorities. In the event of an emergency, MoFAIC urged citizens to contact 0097180024.

Marburg virus is a highly contagious disease with no cure or vaccine. It is transmitted through contact with bodily fluids and can cause severe bleeding, fever, and organ failure. The virus is named after the city of Marburg, where the first outbreak took place in 1967.
