Dubai Will Solve Traffic Jams With AI
The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has decided to use artificial intelligence (AI) to monitor traffic and improve its flow on the roads.
The company has launched an advanced business platform that will develop AI and data science solutions for urban congestion.
The new platform can process data from RTA and make it usable for training AI models. Mattar Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of RTA said the initiative will make Dubai the smartest metropolis in the world.
The AI platform will serve as the foundation for many projects that RTA plans to do with AI in the future. Contains more than 100 ideas for using AI in different areas. These include but are not limited to supporting RTA assets such as buildings and vehicles, as well as creating smarter services for customers and employees. This also speeds up administrative work.
The overall plan aligns with the UAE’s AI strategy and demonstrates the importance of data and AI in decision-making and preparing for the future. This will help RTA become one of the leading government agencies not only regionally but also globally.
