Dubai Received More Than 23.7 Million Passengers in 2022
More than 107,082 passengers arrived in Dubai on New Year’s Eve, including 95,445 at Dubai airports, 6,527 via Hatta Border Post, and 5,010 from seaports.
Dubai International has been very busy in December due to the holiday rush, the recent Doha soccer tournament, and the fact that Dubai has become a popular tourist destination over the last 20 years.
In 2022, a total of 23,672,468 passengers arrived, representing an 89% increase in passenger volume over the previous year.
In terms of the mode of entry, 21,817,022 passengers arrived via airports, 1,612,746 people entered via Hatta Border Post, and 242,700 passengers used seaports.
In contrast, according to the Dubai Press Office, in 2021, 12,025,468 passengers entered Dubai via airports, 399,083 via Hatta Border Post, and 83,700 via seaports.
In addition, Dubai Airports was ranked #1 internationally and regionally in the Airports Council International (ACI) 2022 report. The Legatum Prosperity Index also ranked Dubai airports in the top position for tolerance towards foreigners.
