Lauren Dickason, who was accused of murdering her three daughters, may have been stressed after being quarantined when she moved from South Africa to New Zealand, a former family neighbor said.
Ms. Dickason has reportedly been transferred to a psychiatric ward in New Zealand, where she will stay until she returns to court to hear the charges of the murder of her three children, ages two and six.

Dickason, the mother of the murder of her three children, was taken into custody after appearing in court on Saturday.
Dickason, whose name was not removed, appeared before the Timaru District Court, where Judge Dominic Dravizki detained her in a secure forensic department until 5th October.
There was no bail request and he faced triple homicides. A request for name deletion was withdrawn during the hearing.
Dickason wore a gray hooded T-shirt and black pants. She stared at the floor for most of the audience.
Her three children, twins Maya and Karla and her sister Liane 6, were found dead on Thursday around 10 p.m. from his father Graham.
Mental Evaluation
Lauren Dickason, 40, was rushed to Timaru Hospital, where she was later charged with murder.
The family had recently graduated from MIQ after coming from South Africa and moving to the South Island city.
The parents are doctors and the father, an orthopedic surgeon, learned his children had died when he returned home on Queen Street.
What Police Have Investigated Up Till Now?
Area Inspector Commander Dave Gaskin said Friday that the incident “will be incredibly distressing for the residents of Timaru, especially so soon after the city lost five of its youths in an accident” even if the family has been out of town for a while long time.
“The police are working with our partner organizations to ensure that support reaches those most directly affected by last night’s tragic events and the wider community, and we ask everyone who needs support to come forward.”
Police said the forensic scientist was taking his time to investigate the scene on Friday afternoon.
