Davy Macias and her husband Daniel Macias have died after being very cautious of Covid-19 for 18 months.
They cleaned surfaces, showered after work, and even delivered food, but that didn’t stop them from contracting the virus.
Davy Macías, a Southern California birth, and delivery nurse were seven months pregnant with her fifth child in early August when she was hospitalized with Covid-19.
Daniel Macías was also infected with the virus.

Davy Macias, 37, was intubated and died of complications from Covid-19 while doctors helped him deliver his daughter. She would never see her baby.
Her husband Daniel Macías, 39, was only able to see her son briefly because he too was hospitalized after contracting the virus.
As per Davy’s sister-in-law Terri Serey, Daniel was waiting to name the girl, believing that he and his wife would leave the hospital alive to present the newborn to their four other children, the oldest seven and older young 2.
But about a week after the baby was born, Davy passed away. Two weeks later, Daniel too.
Daniel “was kind enough to send me a photo of the baby,” Serey told the Washington Post but “that was the last text I got from him.”

The couple were not vaccinated and died on August 26 and September 9, respectively, leaving children between 3 weeks and 8 years old, Macias told CNN on Monday.
“It’s not that they didn’t want to be vaccinated, they planned it,” he said.
She insisted it was a personal choice and everyone wanted to know more about their safety before they got the shot.
