David Gomoh was an NHS worker who returned home after being stabbed to death while on the phone with his girlfriend in Canning Town, east London, in April 2020.
Four gang members have been arrested for the murder of an NHS worker whom they randomly selected “just to do it”.
Muhammad Jalloh and David Ture, both 19 and homeless, and Vagnei Colubali of Cambridge, 23, were convicted of the murder of David Gomoh in August.
Alex Melaku, who could not be identified because he was under 18, was also sentenced.
Everyone was sentenced to life in prison on Friday, with Jalloh and Colubali sentenced to at least 27 years, Ture to at least 26, and Melaku to 21.

NHS Worker David Gomoh Killed
David Gomoh was stabbed to death over the phone with his girlfriend on April 26 last year.
He was not far from his home in Newham, east London, when the attack took place and managed to back down there, collapsing on his doorstep and bleeding to death outside his family under siege.
In a statement on the victim’s aftermath, her mother Marian said she was ‘haunted’ by recurring nightmares about what had happened and added: “I felt numb, paralyzed with grief and pain. . Why David Gomoh?”
He said the “psychological and emotional torture escalated” during the trial as he listened to details of what had happened to his “stepson”.
He said his son’s murderers “entered our lives without charge and destroyed David’s life.”
4 Gang Members Jailed
In Friday’s trial, London Chancellor Mark Lucraft QC said the killers committed a “brutal murder” which involved “a significant amount” of planning.
He said they appeared to “just kill for the sake of it and show little or no consideration for human life,” adding: “David Gomoh was the lonely, innocent and unsuspecting victim” who was “at the wrong time, at the wrong place.” Gomoh, he said, was stabbed ten times, and some of the blows penetrated nearly 8 inches.
Muhammad Jalloh, 19, of Stratford, East London, and Vagnei Colubali, 23, of Cambridge, have been jailed for at least 27 years.
Homeless David Ture, 19, received 26 and Alex Melaku, 18, from Telford, 21.
Melaku did not come of age until the day before sentencing, which means he was first identified.
