A suspect Dandrae Martin was arrested in Sunday’s shooting in Sacramento, California, which left six dead and a dozen injured, police said.
Dandrae Martin, 26, was convicted of assault and unlawful possession of a weapon, the Sacramento Police Department said.

Police Investigation Report
As part of their investigation, authorities issued search warrants at three homes where at least one handgun was found, police said. Surviving victims have minor to major injuries.
The shooting happened early Sunday morning, shortly after the last call, in the busy center of the state capital. Investigators believe several gunmen opened fire after a major fight.
Police said investigators located at least three buildings and three vehicles that were hit by gunfire during the preliminary investigation of the crime scene. Investigators recovered more than 100 cartridge cases.
More than 100 video or photo files were made available to investigators through the Community Evidence Portal. The Sacramento County Attorney’s Office will review all evidence to determine appropriate charges, police said.
According to online records from the sheriff’s office, Martin was convicted in Sacramento County of two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one charge of a convicted person with a loaded firearm.
It was not immediately clear Monday afternoon whether Martin had hired a lawyer.
Martin also has an outstanding warrant from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. According to prison records, she is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday afternoon.
Arrested
Martin pled guilty to a misdemeanor related to a domestic violence count in October 2014, a spokesman for the Riverside County Attorney’s Office said. Martin has been sentenced to 30 days in prison and 36 months probation. He violated two probation terms and a $5,000 arrest warrant was issued in October 2015, the spokesman said.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the victims Monday as Devazia Turner, 29; Joshua Hoye-Lucchesi, 32; Sergio Harris, 38; Johntaya Alexander, 21; Yamile Martinez-Andrade, 21; and Melinda Davis, 57.
