Craig Dixon Dies in A Horrific Accident
A man and his beloved dog have died in a collision in North Yorkshire.
Craig Dixon, 39, was walking his dog Duchess in Guisborough on Friday afternoon when they were hit by a silver Citroen C3.
Many passers-by rushed to the couple’s aid and stayed with them until an ambulance arrived.
Duchess also died from injuries sustained in the collision and Mr. Dixon was pronounced dead immediately after being admitted to the hospital.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of reckless driving.
He is interrogated while he is still in custody.
In a statement, the Cleveland Police Department said: “At this extremely difficult time, our thoughts and condolences are with the family of Mr. Dixon.”
“A 38-year-old man has been arrested by police and is being questioned on suspicion of dangerous driving homicide.”
“The investigation is ongoing and we would like to address any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police, as well as any drivers who have dash cam footage from the Guisborough area of Westgate immediately before, during, or after the incident,” to read a statement from Guisborough Police.

Witnesses said they saw the cordoned-off area along with four police vehicles and a pickup truck.
