The federal government has decided to begin Covid vaccine registration for people aged 18 or above will start from 3rd June, Thursday.
The decision was made today at the meeting of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), said Federal Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar. Speaking to Twitter, Umar said:
“At today’s NCOC meeting it was decided to start planning the vaccination of the 18 most frequently registered people on Thursday, June 3rd. This step would vaccinate all eligible age groups. Please register as soon as possible.”

On May 26, the government announced the opening of registration for citizens aged 19 and over from May 27.

Asad Umar, who also leads the government’s response to COVID-19, said the NCOC had decided to open the registry to the entire national population, approved by health professionals for vaccinations. Pakistan stepped up the vaccination process in the country after successfully manufacturing the CanSino Bio single-dose vaccine at the National Institute of Health (NIH) vaccination facility.
On Sunday, the country vaccinated 0.3 million people in 24 hours, bringing the total to 1.51 million, or 0.7 percent of the total population.
