China delivers one million more cans of Covid-19 to Pakistan. According to the PIA Country Manager, another two million cans are expected by April 29, 2021.

According to Qadir Bux Sangi, PIA’s Country Manager for China, another two million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine will be transported from China to Pakistan on April 29 by two special aircraft and a regular PIA flight.
Three Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) planes carrying one million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine left China for Pakistan on Sunday as the number of new coronavirus cases in the country soared.
The shipment arrives on the fly as Pakistan’s confirmed caseload hits 795,627 and the death toll stands at 17,117.
Previously, a total of 2.56 million doses of vaccines had come to Pakistan from China, and 1.5 million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine had been donated to Pakistan.
Vaccination of people aged 50 to 59 years also began on April 21.

The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) set up the civil register for the Covid-19 vaccination for over 50 years on March 30th.
Pakistan began its vaccination more than a month ago with more than a million doses of Sinopharm vaccines donated by China after Islamabad received its first shipment of the Covid-19 vaccine on February 1 this year after a military plane took it off Beijing had transported.
According to a senior Chinese official, the vaccine collaboration between Pakistan and China reflects an understanding of the mutual support of the two as strategic all-weather cooperation partners.
