Pakistan Railways has announced the complete schedule that it will operate 11 special trains to assist passengers on Eid al-Fitr.
A notice was published on Thursday that the special trains will run between Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi.

According to the announcement, four special trains will depart from Lahore to Karachi on Friday (today), while the same number of trains will run from Karachi to Lahore on the same day.
Two other special Eid trains will run from Karachi to Rawalpindi on May 11th, while another train will run from Karachi to Multan on May 12th.
The move aims to relieve road traffic from Eid as hundreds of thousands of people travel to and from major cities to celebrate Eid with their families.

It should be noted that the government has already announced six-day Eid holidays between May 10th and 15th with the “clear intention of reducing national mobility“.
The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has announced that Chand Raat bazaars, including mehndi, jewelry/ornaments, and clothing stalls, will be closed across the country.
The NCOC statement states that all markets, shops, and stores will remain closed, except for essential services, which include supermarkets, pharmacies, bakeries, vegetables, fruit, chicken and meat stores, and petrol pumps.
