Phil Jerrod was a comedian who died after battling a rare form of cancer.
His agency Off The Cerb confirmed that Jerrod died Saturday after being diagnosed with sarcoma.
The sad update revealed that the comedian passed away with his wife by his side, while fans, colleagues, and followers took to social media following the news of his death to pay tribute and express the shock and sadness.
A statement released Monday by Off The Curb said: “It is with deep sadness that we have to announce the death of Phil Jerrod. Phil died peacefully at home after battling cancer with his devoted wife Beck by his side.”

Mock The Week star Phil Jerrod died of rare cancer at the age of 42 when other comedians paid tribute to the “kind and talented” star.
The comedian died Saturday with his wife Beck by his side, according to a statement from his agent.
It is not known how long Phil suffered from sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that affects the bones and soft tissues.
Nish Kumar today paid tribute to his fellow comedian and tweeted: “This is terrible news. A great comedian and a charming man.”
The Brighton star supported Romesh Ranganathan on his UK tour in 2016, writing for TV and radio shows The Now Show, The News Quiz, and Mock The Week.

In 2015 he received the Best First Act award at the Leicester Comedy Festival and presented three critically acclaimed solo exhibitions at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Neanderthal 2015, Hypocrite 2016, and Submerged 2017).
Barnes, who previously created a Just Giving page for the Sarcoma UK charity, described Jerrod as a “great friend.”

In a statement announcing his death, Jerrod’s Off The Curb agency said: “It is with deep sadness that we must announce the death of Phil Jerrod.”
“Phil died peacefully at home after battling cancer with his devoted wife Beck by his side.”
“On Saturday we had to say goodbye to one of my best friends, the incomparable Phil Jerrod,” he said.
“One of the most charming, fun, and creative people I know.”
“All my thoughts are with Beck, your loving wife. I love you, Phil, life will never be the same. Broken heart.”
Lloyd Griffith said: “This is terrible news. Not only was Phil really funny, but he was also the nicest man you’ve ever met.”
