CNIC ID Card is No Longer Required For Rashan Subsidy in Utility Stores
As reported, on Tuesday the requirement to present the CNIC ID Card for the purchase of subsidized products at Utility Store outlets ended.
The decision was made to make it easier for residents to benefit from government-Ramadan Relief Packages, with the aim of providing maximum relief to the poorest during Ramadan. However, this decision does not apply to the purchase of wheat, sugar, and ghee.
It should be noted that earlier this month the government introduced a nationwide Ramadan Relief Package of Rs 5,000 crore to help disadvantaged people earlier this month and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expanded the scope of the aid program by adding the number of subsidized products increased for 19.
Flour, ghee, sugar, cooking oil, tea, dates, besan, dal mash, dal mong, milk, beverages, and spices are among these products today. The government hopes that by launching this project, they can lighten the pockets of citizens during Ramadan.
