Charlie Watts Death: Stars Pay Tribute To Rolling Stones Drummer

Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts died Tuesday at the age of 80, as per the Reuters.

Charlie died just three weeks after pulling out of the band’s upcoming American tour for health reasons.

Watts’ death has paid tribute to musicians from Paul McCartney to country singer Rosanne Cash.

“Charlie Watts was the definitive drummer,” Elton John wrote on Twitter.

“The most intelligent of all men and such a brilliant company,” he furthur added.

McCartney offered his condolences in a video message. “He knew he was sick, but he didn’t know he was so sick … It’s a huge blow to her because Charlie was a rock and a fantastic drummer.”

Watts was born in 1941 during WWII and grew up in the Wembley area of North West London, he attended the Harrow School of Art before working as a graphic designer at an advertising agency.
