Britney Spears says her ‘secret therapy’ for depression was like cancer treatment
Britney Spears has revisited the time her family dragged her into unwanted therapy sessions for depression during a 13-year conservatorship.
In a series of since-deleted Instagram posts, the Toxic singer reportedly slammed her family for claiming it helped her battle depression.
“The only thing that really bothers me is depression… but we don’t kick people out of their houses for that!” reads a screenshot shared by a fan.
The 40-year-old singer claimed that “people who work for her” are watching her closely so she has nowhere to go.
“Honestly, I thought they were trying to kill me because it seemed like a bad joke,” Spears wrote, calling out the doctors and nurses as “shifts so others are NOT better.”

“But I couldn’t get angry or scream or anything!!! I feel suffocated!!!” the Gimme More singer wrote.
“At one point I thought… wait, I have cancer and they don’t want me to know. And is it a secret therapy for people with cancer? Spears remembered.”
