British Media Coverage Dominated By Prince Harry
British media coverage these days has been dominated by Prince Harry, who is seeking a judicial review after the UK Home Office rejected his request to pay for police protection himself.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have relocated to California after completing their royal duties.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex lost protection paid for by the UK taxpayer when they stepped down from their frontline royal duties in 2020.
Harry has been criticized by the British media and pro-monarchy royal pundits for demanding security.
Commenting on the hearing at the High Court in London, royal biographer Angela Levin said: “The UK is flawed but it is trying to protect its citizens. It is an insult to say that is not the case.”

She said: “We cannot have an unrealistic demand for 24/7 personal security when hundreds of ex-soldiers who fought in Afghanistan are left without them. Special occasions are different.”
Angela added: “If Harry, who is not a king, wins his case against the Home Office, he will be welcomed by his friends, family and the charities he says he wants to see.”
The Daily Mail also published a strongly worded statement against Prince Harry for demanding police protection during his visits to the UK.
