Brenda Rasmussen and her two adult children have been arrested for the murder of her missing husband after he was found buried under a storage shed.
Ms. Rasmussen and her two sons, Danny Jones, 34, and Andrew Jones, 31, were arrested Tuesday in Arizona after authorities said she fled her home in Washington state amid ongoing investigations, US marshals said.

Murder of Jerry Rasmussen
Rasmussen reported that her husband, Jerry Rasmussen, 65, disappeared on September 27, telling sheriff’s deputies that he had left their Stevens County home after an argument a few weeks earlier and had not heard from him since.
But when detectives executed a search warrant at the property in November, cadaver dogs detected the smell of human remains under a recently built storage shed, authorities said.
Jerry’s remains were found buried under the shed and an autopsy revealed he had been shot in the head, authorities said.
However, Rasmussen had already moved out of the property where she lived with her husband and son Danny, authorities said.

Authorities believe she fled the state after detectives began treating the case as a homicide and identified her and her children as persons of interest, authorities said.
The trio was eventually found in Mohave County, Arizona, where Rasmussen’s son Andrew owns the property.
They were arrested as an accessory to the crime and sent to the Mohave County Jail.
The three suspects are awaiting extradition to Washington state.
