Bob Le Sueur Cause of Death At Age 102
Bob Le Sueur, a hero of the Jersey occupation, has died aged 102. He died in Jersey on Saturday 5th November 2022.
Who is Bob LeSueur?
At 101, Bob plans to walk 5,000 steps by the end of the month to raise funds for Ukrainians fleeing their country after the Russian invasion.
“Every day was tough,” said Bob Le Sueur, but he was determined to put his foot on the plate.
Bob made headlines in 2020 when he raised millions for the NHS by walking 100 lengths of his lawn, inspiring Mr. Le Sueur to pull off the feat.
Mr. Le Sueur said: “It’s really difficult and requires a lot of energy. Every day is a challenge, but I’m committed to taking that little walk from my glass door to the clothesline and back every day.”
Bob risked his life while the island was occupied by the Nazis to help Russian slaves who had escaped the terrible working conditions. He continued to live his life of service to others after receiving an MBE for bravery during World War II.

Captain Sir Tom Moore is a retired British Army officer. A 101-year-old man from Jersey walks 101 steps a day to call Ukraine. For his support of Jersey’s links with France, Bob received another award at the level of Chevalier in the Ordre de la Pléiade in 2018.
In October 2020 he turned 100 years old. He has been described as “an average man with an extraordinary life”.
