BISP Cash Payments To People Affected By Flooding Cross Rs. 19 Billion
The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has disbursed Rs 19,840 crore in flood cash assistance to flood-affected families in the flood-hit areas of the country.
According to the information, the government is providing 25,000 rupees to all affected families in the country. So far BISP has disbursed Rs 19,840 crore to 793,701 families affected by this scheme.
As of Monday evening, 90,396 affected families received Rs 2,260 crore in Balochistan, 466,045 families received Rs 11,660 crore in Sindh, and 98,677 families received Rs 11,660 crore in Sindh. 2.47 billion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 138,583 families received 3.46 billion rupees in Punjab.
All BISP payment centers are open on public holidays for the release of payments to interested parties. The BISP administration has instructed the relevant staff in the camps to fully cooperate and support the people in their respective areas.
Affected families can text their CNIC ID Card Number to 8171 to sign up for the PM flood relief cash program, according to BISP. After receiving the payment message, they can go to their nearby warehouse to collect their payment. A control room has also been set up at BISP headquarters to ensure that payments are regular.
