Beverly Tate, Snoop Dogg’s mother, has died, as per her son.
The rapper broke the news on Sunday, paid tribute to her on Instagram, and wrote … “Thank you my God for giving me an angel for a TWMA mother.”
In another post, he thanks his mother for receiving him. The cause of death was not disclosed.
SD’s father Vernell also confirmed the news… and he too asked for prayers because the family needed him more than ever.
Beverly had two other children from Vernell and the family grew up in Long Beach, California. She raised Snoop in a church setting, which she refers to this day.

Ms. Tate had been hospitalized earlier this year for reasons unknown: Snoop had asked his fans to spread the good humor while his mother was in the hospital.
She then informed people by telling them that she was “still fighting” and had opened her eyes but made no specific mention.
They were close. Snoop attributes many of his good qualities to the way she raised him, including the recent revelation that she was the one who had encouraged him to contact Gayle King for his comments in response to his comment of Kobe Bryant on the last year to apologize.
While the cause of his death has not been disclosed, Snoops’ touching tribute and frequent updates on his beloved mother have garnered millions of likes and support from friends and followers, including Taraji. P. Henson and Busta Rhymes.

Snoop was the first to post his mother’s death on Instagram, saying, “Thank you my God for giving me an angel for a TWMA mum (until we meet again).”
She added a photo of Tate wearing a matching red dress and hat while holding flowers.

In a post two hours earlier, Snoop shared a photo with his mother in which they both smiled for the camera. He wrote: “Mom, thank you for inviting me.” The rapper’s father, Vernell, also confirmed that Tate’s death called for prayers, saying the family “need him more than ever.”
Snoop and his mother were close and he often commented on the positive qualities he had inherited from her.
