Babar Azam Has Some Advice For His Teammates Ahead of The Pak vs India Match Asia Cup 2022
Pakistan captain Babar Azam advised the men in green on Sunday to have the same body language as in the most exciting game they had in the T20 World Cup match against India that led to his team’s historic victory over rivals.
“Go back [in time] and remember everything and you will have the whole preparation fresh in your head. Apply what you have prepared and you will get the results,” he said.
He said that good preparation for the game is to apply what has been practiced on the field.
Babar went on to say that he knew Shaheen Afridi, the team’s lead fast pitcher, would not play due to injury, but the team’s other guards shouldn’t let his absence feel in tonight’s game.
“He [Shaheen] should feel like his comrades will prove their worth when he’s not around. Believe in yourself like him [Shaheen] and play like him for Pakistan,” said the captain as he wished his boys well.
Babar Azam will look to maintain Pakistan’s psychological advantage as the team lacks Shaheen’s spirited bowling attack.
The high-octane clash between arch-rivals Pakistan and India in the T20 Asia Cup 2022 takes place at 7 pm today (Sunday) at Dubai Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). PST.
Both teams are well prepared for the big cricket event. Pakistan has finalized its starting XI but the names of the teams will be announced before the draw.
The green shirts will have heavy hitters like Captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Khushdil Shah, Asif Ali, and Hyder Ali, while Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf will join the team as fast pitchers.
