Austin Majors Cause Of Death
Austin Majors, a popular child actor who won over fans with his roles on NYPD Blues and NCIS, has died at the age of 27.
According to TMZ, Majors died Saturday night while staying at a homeless shelter in Los Angeles.
According to inside sources speaking to TMZ, the 27-year-old reportedly took a lethal dose of fentanyl.
After his death, Majors’ family released a statement describing the actor as “a loving, artistic, intelligent and kind person.”
“Austin was very content and proud of his acting career. He was an active Eagle Scout and graduated high school as a Salutatorian.”
“He then graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts with a passion for directing and producing music.”
The family continued, “Austin’s younger sister Kali says her fondest memories of Austin were growing up with him on set, volunteering at Kids With Cause events, and going for walks together.”
“Austin was the kind of son, brother, grandson, and nephew that we were proud of and will forever miss.”
Since earning her star in the 1997 film Nevada, Majors has appeared in about two dozen films and television episodes including American Dad!, NCIS, Loud Jim, and Threshold, among others.
However, Majors is best known to viewers for playing Theo Sipowicz on NYPD Blues.
