A “kind and beautiful” teenager Ashley Kosciekowski has died after being hit by a reckless driver.
On April 9th this year, 19-year-old Charlotte Hope died in an accident on the A53 at Astley, near Shrewsbury.
Trainee Teacher Ashley Kosciekowski Died
The would-be teacher, who was described as “kind and beautiful” by her devastated family, has died. Ashley Kosciekowski, 34, was charged with causing her death and pleaded guilty.
Helen Hope, Charlotte’s mother, was seriously injured in the collision, and Kosciekowski, a Norton resident, was also charged with endangering her life through reckless driving.
Police Investigation Report
According to Stoke-on-Trent Live, the case has been adjourned pending a report before sentencing after the 34-year-old admitted both offenses at Telford Magistrates Court today.
When her Volkswagen Polo collided with Kosciekowski’s BMW M140i, 19-year-old Charlotte was behind the wheel. Despite an attempt by a bystander to revive the student, paramedics at the scene pronounced the teenager dead.
After the fatal collision, honors poured out for the “good and beautiful” trainee teacher. Charity Restart Africa noted that it has made several trips to Kenya as part of the organization’s work to support street children.
The charity said at the time: “Charlotte was a bright, kind, and beautiful young woman who was adored by our children, staff, and Mary, who all have many happy memories of her.”
Charlotte’s devastated father, Neil Hope, also said: “She was a brilliant young person. She was loving, compassionate, funny, and full of life.”
