Apple Works On a Solution To The MacOS Bug In Which Some Of The Encrypted Emails Sent Through The Email App Are Stored Unencrypted
Apple advertises its guaranteed privacy advantage like never before. However, this does not currently apply to Mac customers. The organization announced that it will fix a macOS bug that leaves encrypted email message segments unprotected.
Bob Gendler discovered that a database file used by Siri (snippets.db) saved the contents of the messages that were generally expected to be protected, regardless of whether the private key that prevents the application from reading in Mail is removed. The complete message can still cause problems when a programmer approaches his frame and searches for sensitive information.
In any case, impotence exists in the last four macOS adjustments, ranging from Sierra to Catalina.

This is not as obvious as it seems. To be helpless, you must use Mail, send encrypted messages from Mail, and disable FileVault disk encryption. If you are dependent on a third-party e-mail client or if you use FileVault, you will not be affected. You can also eject emails from snippets.db by going to System Preferences> Siri> Siri Suggestions and Privacy> Mail and deselecting “Learn from this Application“. It is not clear when the solution will be made, but you do not have to stay exposed in the meantime.
In any case, this is not what you would call motivational certainty. Gendler noted that he announced the problem on July 29 and that Apple did not respond until November 5.
That’s enough time to reveal the contents of the email, regardless of whether the probability of an attack is practically zero. He suggests that Apple has room left to speed up its response to vulnerabilities.
