Why Were Apps Removed?

The DSA, effective February 17, 2024, requires developers to declare trader status when launching or updating apps. Apple set a February 17, 2025, deadline for compliance. Apps that missed the deadline are now unavailable in the EU but not permanently deleted.

Who Needs to Comply?

Developers earning from downloads, in-app purchases, or ads must register as traders. Businesses need a DUNS number, phone, email, and address, while individuals must submit basic contact details.
