Customize Your Lock Screen
The most important feature of iOS is the ability to customize the lock screen. You can choose from layered wallpapers, widgets, custom date and time fonts, and more. You can also choose a series of photos to shuffle on your lock screen throughout the day.
The new lock screen gallery offers a range of lock screen options including a new weather background with live weather conditions. You can also choose an astronomy wallpaper that features views of the earth, the moon, and the solar system. Apple iOS 16 adds support for multiple lock screen layouts.
Edit Or Send Back An iMessage
iOS 16 gives you the ability to temporarily edit or unsend messages, as well as mark iMessage conversations as unread after opening them.
Apple allows you to edit an iMessage up to 15 minutes after it’s sent, allowing up to five edits per message. Recipients can see a record of changes made to the message, and on devices running iOS 15 or earlier, edited messages are received as a new message with the content “Edited to [new message]”.
To edit or cancel a message, simply long-press a bubble and select the appropriate option from the menu that appears.
Use The Music Player in Full-screen Mode
iOS 16 reintroduces a full-screen music player on the lock screen with large album art and color-matched background image. In 2016, Apple introduced this feature in iOS 10.
If you don’t like the feature, you can touch the bottom of the screen to minimize the music player. It will revert to your default lock screen background.

Track An Apple Pay Order
Apple Pay in iOS 16 features new order tracking information built into the Wallet app for online orders placed through Apple Pay. The tracker provides the expected delivery date of order and shows when a package is ready for delivery.
Close Your Rings Without An Apple Watch
From Apple iOS 16, the fitness app is now also available on the iPhone for all users without an Apple Watch. The app offers a daily activity ring based on the iPhone’s motion sensors. You can estimate calories burned and steps per day for one person.
