The all-British showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury for the undisputed heavyweight champion will take place in Saudi Arabia, according to promoter Eddie Hearn.
A fight between two fighters who hold the division’s four major world titles has been nearing a conclusion for a few weeks now, but there is still no official announcement from either side.

Fury co-promoter Bob Arum said this month that a fight was “dead in the water” this summer, but Hearn, who is promoting Joshua, believes they are close to finding a date and venue with that Secure land. Apparently locked up.
Saudi Arabia staged Joshua’s rematch against Andy Ruiz when the Briton regained his WBA, IBF, and WBO titles in December 2019, putting him on a collision course with Fury, who became WBC champion a few months later.
“August 7th, August 14th,” said Hearn on Sky Sports when asked for a date for Joshua-Fury. “It’s a very bad secret that the fight is taking place in Saudi Arabia. I don’t mind giving this information, Bob Arum has already done it.”

They are the same people we made the deal with for Andy Ruiz. This event was spectacular. They were fantastic as partners too, so we are very comfortable.
Hearn said August 14 could be a more opportune time to avoid a clash with the Olympics, which are due to end six days early.
“In terms of a global show, it would make sense to go on the 14th,” added Hearn. “That’s one of the other things that hopefully can be achieved in the next few days.”
“Spartan.”
