Andrea Valdiri is a Colombian model who plans to broadcast live her upcoming plastic surgery operation for a price that was rejected by a health agency that found the method of dissemination unethical.
Valdiri, who had more than six million Instagram followers, sold tickets to fans who wanted to watch a live broadcast of the operation scheduled for Wednesday in Cartagena.

The mother of two offered $20 tickets for those who just wanted to see the surgeon open their bodies. There was also $60 in VIP tickets which allowed fans to see every step of the way, from Valdiri, leaving to the doctor’s conclusion.
He claimed that the website that handled ticket sales collapsed within the first 10 minutes after launch because it had registered more than 500,000 visits.
Valdiri, who has never revealed the type of surgery she will be undergoing, was informed Tuesday by the District Territorial Health Board that she could no longer pursue her ambitions of live broadcasting.
“I see that there are ethical principles that are included in some of the standards of the Ministry of Health that are violated… affecting the medical ethics committee… and hospital ethics,” said Dr. César Cárcamo on the Colombian newspaper El Universal.
“Rules are broken that violate the principle of privacy.”

Valdiri criticized the health department’s decision and questioned his motives.
“Hypocrites, and that’s why this country is what it is. You work, reinvent yourself. Okay, they took the live feeds from me,” he said in an Instagram Stories video.
“I’m reinventing myself and I’m building my website and I’m gonna do my thing.”
Valdiri argued that social media users could share their content on sites like Only Fans without restrictions.

“People think I’m going to be naked to be cut, and that won’t show it there,” he added.
“I have to say something, I’m not influencing anyone here, and if someone wants to see the content because they want to have surgery, they want to see what an operation looks like, they can see it there. It depends on how much trash you have on your head as if you wanted to see that content. I do what I want with my body. I own it.”
While Valdiri is still undergoing surgery, he has promised to give her full ventilation as soon as the doctor finishes the procedure.
“I will post it on my website as soon as the operation is complete,” he said. “Don’t worry because it will happen.”
