Ali Abulaban is a Californian accused of shooting his ex-wife and boyfriend at their home in San Diego.
Ana Abulaban was about to file for divorce from her husband and they separated when she was killed, KGTV reported, citing assistant district attorney Taren Brast. Police identified the male victim as Rayburn Cardenas Barron.

What Were The Murder Charges?
Abulaban, who had checked into a hotel, reportedly returned three days later when his wife went away to search the apartment and install the wiretapping app on her daughter’s iPad.
He is also charged with multiple murders in special circumstances, which means that prosecutors can seek the death penalty if found guilty.
Known on TikTok for JinnKid, Abulaban has nearly a million subscribers online and posts comedy skits and celebrity knockoffs, including the ‘Scarface’ character Tony Montana.
Prosecutors said Abulaban’s wife asked her to vacate his 35th-floor apartment on 18th October after a series of alleged incidents of domestic violence.
Prosecutors said he listened to the app later when he heard his wife talking and laughing with Barron.
Abulaban ran to the apartment, where he allegedly shot Barron three times before shooting his wife in the head.
Prosecutors said surveillance cameras recorded him exiting the elevator to the apartment just before the shooting.
Abulaban then went to find his daughter at school before calling the police.
Ali Abulaban Confessed
After the shooting, prosecutors said Abulaban went to her daughter’s school to pick her up. He told the 5-year-old that he “hurt his mother,” KSWB reported.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that Abulaban called his mother and confessed to the murders. Prosecutors said Abulaban also called police shortly after 3 p.m. while he’s driving a car with his daughter. Police arrested him on State Route 15 about 45 minutes later.
While the charges were being brought, the judge ordered Abulaban to stay away from his daughter. The AP reported that other family members were stepping in to care for the girl.
What Was The Trial?
Inmate records on the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department website show that Abulaban was taken into custody at San Diego Central Jail around 11:30 p.m. October 21.
He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

He is being held without bail. The San Diego Union-Tribune said it was not immediately clear whether prosecutors would pursue the death penalty.
Abulaban pleaded not guilty during the 25th October indictment. The San Diego district attorney’s website reveals that another trial was scheduled for 28th October, with the preliminary hearing scheduled for 5th January 2022.
