After The Taliban Derogatory, More Than 84 Afghan Servicemen Crossed The Border & Asked Uzbekistan For Help
84 Afghan soldiers were arrested by border officials in Uzbekistan on Saturday after it was revealed that they had fled the country from the Taliban derogatory.
Uzbekistan said border troops arrested the “state border violators” and the authorities” had talks with the Afghan side about their return to Afghanistan.
Uzbekistan has provided food, temporary accommodation and medical care to detained Afghan soldiers, the Uzbek foreign ministry said in a statement.

On the Afghan side of the bridge at the Termez-Hairatan border post, “an increase in the number of Afghan government troops” was noted.
“Steps are being taken to provide humanitarian aid to these people,” the statement said, without giving details.
On Saturday, the Taliban captured the northern fortress of Mazar-i-Sharif, located about 100 kilometers by road from Uzbekistan.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani had only visited the city three days earlier.
With the group’s demand to occupy Jalalabad, residents confirmed on Sunday morning that Kabul is now the only major city under the control of the Afghan govt.
Since the Taliban began a radical Taliban advance in May following the withdrawal of US forces in May.
Afghan troops have repeatedly withdrawn across the country’s borders to the central Asian states of Uzbekistan and from Tajikistan.
