As per police, the children fell from a height of 10 meters, including two boys and two girls.
The kids were in sixth grade, probably 10 or 11 years old. A fifth child later died in the hospital.
“A gust of wind would have lifted the bouncy castle and inflatable balloons,” said Tasmanian police superintendent Darren Hine.
“Our hearts break for the families and loved ones, the classmates, the teachers of these young people who were taken away too early.”
Paramedics rushed to Hillcrest Elementary School around 10:00 a.m. after the accident. Local time (Wednesdays 23:00 GMT).
