Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao announced their divorce on Saturday.
Khan met Kiran on the set of ‘Lagaan’ after he had just separated from his first wife, Reena Dutta.

When he fell in love with Kiran, Aamir Khan said in an interview: “We had no relationships, we weren’t even good friends. She was one of the people in the unit. It was after my breakup and divorce after a while. I found it again,” said Khan when speaking to a Chinese broadcaster.
The “3 Idiots” actor added, “At that moment of trauma, his phone popped up and I spoke to him on the phone for half an hour.”
“And when I hung up I said, ‘Oh my god! I am so happy when I talk to him. It was then that I realized that I feel so happy when I talk to him.”
