Authorities say Ronald Donovan is a Cocoa man charged with murder after a woman was killed on a motorcycle after a high-speed shooting with a rival motorcycle gang.
In a press release, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office announced that the 33-year-old woman was killed Friday morning in the shooting on Interstate 4 between Lakeland and Orlando hours after being shot in the head.

His current age is 38 years.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office officials say Polk County MPs are investigating an accident and shootings on I-4.
Parliamentarians from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office were called shortly after midnight Friday for a single motorcycle accident and a reported shooting at two locations in northeast Polk County.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd went out of his way to explain the ongoing I-4 shootings: “You had testosterone spikes and idiocy spikes.”
Thousands of I-4 East were closed for hours overnight while Polk County investigators investigated the shooting, which allegedly involved rival motorcycle clubs shortly after midnight.
Sheriff Grady Judd compares it to a shooting in the Old West.
“But the outlaws weren’t riding horses, they were riding motorcycles, you could see they were riding iron horses,” Judd said.
Judd said a group of motorcyclists outperformed a rival group. He then started filming.
“We had cartridges of three different guns scattered over half a mile,” he said.
Ronald Donovan Arrested
Donovan is not accused of having shot his partner; Under Florida law, certain crimes that result in collateral death can be charged with murder.
Ronald Donovan, jailed without bail, was due to appear in court on Saturday. The court records did not contain any reference to a lawyer for him.
Donovan, who lives in Brevard County, is charged with shooting another bicyclist in the back.

What Was The Witness Statement?
Witnesses reported that the cyclists were wearing the club’s colors but were not wearing them when investigators arrived.
Donovan had two holsters but he had no weapons.
“When we arrived we saw a motorcycle leave the scene and we suspect that the person on that motorcycle is wearing team colors and/or weapons,” Judd said.
The sheriff said they had a lot more to investigate.
