Joshua Bennett of Etobicoke was found dead on a road Friday. Police say the victim is Bennett from Etobicoke. He was a local student, police said.
The murder took place on 24th September 2021 in the Paulander Drive area. Police were called to the scene at around 4.30 a.m. after receiving a report from an injured person.

When police arrived, officers found Bennett outside near a path in the area. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday to elucidate the cause of death.
As part of the investigation and in consultation with the victim’s family, police released a photo of Joshua Bennett.
“This needless death has no place in our community,” Waterloo Police Chief Bryan Larkin said in a statement on Saturday.
“I want to assure the community that we have a dedicated team of highly trained investigators working hard to find those responsible.”
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Waterloo Police Department.
The incident is under investigation.
