Daffney Unger, real name Shannon Spruill and former WCW star, has died, as per the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Spruill died in the Georgia Gwinnett County medical examiner’s office.
During a phone call, Heavy’s official spokesperson said that Spruill “said in the early hours of the 2nd. He said the office had yet to disclose the cause or type of death or any other details.”

The former WCW and TNA wrestling star, who worked as an on-screen manager and in-ring contender, has died after making disturbing remarks on an Instagram Live this week.
On Thursday (02.09.21) her friend Lexie Fyfe tweeted: “We are unlucky to have to announce the death of Shannon Spruill AKA Daffney Unger.”
“I will miss you, my logical sister from another lord.”
Her mother added on Facebook: “It is with great sadness that I am sorry to announce that my daughter Shannon Spruill… Scream Queen Daff passed away suddenly last night. Absolutely sorry.”
The cause of his death has not yet been confirmed.
On Wednesday’s live show (9/1/21), Unger was holding a small pistol in her hand and was seen crying.

As per TMZ, Unger posted “a very disturbing video on his social media page” before his death, although the cause of death is unclear.
TMZ reported that the Instagram story video indicated that Unger may be suicidal. “Don’t you understand that I’m alone? Don’t you understand? She said the video is no longer visible on your Instagram page.”
In the video Heavy saw but not shared, she is wrapped in a blanket. “I’m sorry. I love you,” she said.
In another music video, she says, “The most important thing to remember is that CTEs and head injuries can only be diagnosed now, only now after your death. So I don’t want to do anything that could harm my brain / I want it to be studied; I want future generations to know that they don’t do stupid things like me.”

One man wrote: “I just heard my girlfriend passed away and we met in the bathroom when she was one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. We became very good friends and had a friendship that lasted for decades. She was so incredibly talented, such a beautiful mind, such a beautiful person, I just broke up. I love him so much when my wife first met her on the show and she also fell in love with her instantly because he is such a wonderful person, I will miss you so much, I am so grateful, privileged, and honored to have shared a friendship with you for so many years, always cherish the friendship that we have, you are a unique person in life”.
