Meghan Markle’s Author Suffered From Prejudices At The Hands of Royal Aides
Meghan Markle recently spoke about the prejudice she suffered against royal assistants during her visit to the palace.
In his interview with Online news media, he was frank and said, “We knew they were facing racial issues within the institution.”
“I’ve been prejudiced by a royal assistant or two myself in the past, so you can see what Meghan got into.”
“And that didn’t surprise me, but I think the mention of a family member was the moment even me, my jaw on the floor, just like Oprah, it was the moment. The same reaction.”

Commenting on his struggles, he said: “I wouldn’t say racist, but I just suffered from prejudice. I’m Métis, there aren’t many real Métis correspondents.”
“I wouldn’t name this person. Someone high up in the palace thought it was really strange that I could speak as well as I did, and that’s how they told me.”
“And I’m used to ‘where are you from, where are you really from’ and all that stuff, but that was a very charged comment and I’m sure it wasn’t from an awkward place, but maybe it shows get a certain level of familiarity with some areas of the institution.”
