All Sindh Private School And College Association Calls For The Immediate Reopening of Schools
The president of the All Sindh Association of Private Colleges and Universities criticized the Sindh government’s decision to extend the closure of educational institutions and called for them to reopen from Monday with fully vaccinated staff.
Despite the increase in coronavirus cases, President Haider Ali said educational institutions should be able to resume regular classes with 50% attendance, fully immunized staff, and full compliance with Standard Operating Instructions (SOPs).
He added that 600,000 children have already dropped out of half of public schools and 700,000 students have dropped out of private schools.

The president said up to 95 percent of the vaccination process was completed in public schools and 80 percent in private schools.
He reiterated that the government must reopen facilities with 100 percent vaccinated staff on August 23.
Provincial governor Murad Ali Shah postponed the reopening of schools to 30th August yesterday due to the rising number of coronavirus infections and recommended teachers and parents to get vaccinated in the meantime.
