Sony Xperia 10 III Lite Officially Introduced With eSIM Support in Japan
Sony has quietly launched a Lite model for the mid-range Xperia 10 III in Japan.
Not much has changed with the Lite model, as you now get eSIM support and less storage space than before. Otherwise, the device corresponds to the original one.
For those who don’t know, eSIM support allows you to connect to the cellular network without having a physical SIM card in your phone.
This means that the Xperia 10 III can have two connections to the cellular network, as it also has a physical SIM slot.

You get the same 6-inch OLED with 1080p resolution, HDR, 10-bit color, and Gorilla Glass 6 for protection. IP68 water and dust resistance is still there along with the 3.5mm headphone jack. Support for FM radio was discontinued, but not available in many markets.
Under the hood is the Snapdragon 690 SoC, which supports 5G. The storage space has been reduced from 128GB to 64GB, but it still has the same 6GB of RAM and a microSD card slot.
The 4,500 mAh battery supports 30 W fast charging.
The main camera setup includes a 12 MP main shooter, an 8 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor. The selfie camera is also an 8 MP shooter. The main camera allows you to record video up to 4K at 30 FPS.
The Sony Xperia 10 III will be available in Japan next week for 425 USD, which is 10% cheaper than the original.
