Melissa McCarthy opens up about working with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
American actress Melissa McCarthy, best known for her role as Sookie St. James on the sitcom Gilmore Girls, spoke about working with the royal couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Melissa recently appeared in a video for the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle’s 40×40 campaign on her 40th birthday.
Melissa posted the video on her Instagram account and also wished her ‘friend’ Meghan Markle her 40th birthday.
She wrote in the caption “Happy Birthday Meghan. Today is my friend Meghan’s 40th birthday (you know, the Duchess of Sussex!)”.
“She called me and asked me to contribute 40 minutes of tutoring to help women get back into working life. I think it happened … okay?” She added.

In the two-minute video, Melissa jokes about a possible suit reunion and gets a tattoo before finally talking about Meghan’s 40×40 initiative.
Later, Melissa spoke to Access Hollywood and congratulated Meghan for doing something for others to celebrate her birthday.
“They (Meghan and Prince Harry) were so cute and funny. I find it very inspiring,” McCarthy said.
