The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) finally announces summer vacations in schools across the country.
The NCOC reportedly offered summer holidays in educational institutions across the country from July 18, but Punjab disagreed.
The NCOC proposed summer vacation from July 18 to August 1, while the Punjab government believes that summer vacation should be granted for a month from July 2 to August 2.

Media officials said a decision on this would now be taken at the inter-provincial conference of education ministers, which is due to be convened shortly.
Shafqat Mehmood Statement about board exams for classes 9th to 12th
On June 23, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood said that after July 10, exams for grades 9th, 9th, 1st year, and inter classes will take place nationwide.
Speaking to the National Assembly during the budget session, the minister said that several problems arose last year when the government decided not to take exams.
“But now we have decided that no grade will be awarded without an examination,” said the Minister of Education. It is ‘regrettable’ that some have not yet requested parliamentary reviews, he said.

Mehmood said Sindh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and other provinces, in general, have decided to conduct reviews. Mehmood said the government had been forced to close schools due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, but opted for an alternative method and introduced an online education system.
“We have decided to integrate all educational institutions via a digital system,” said the minister last year.
