Officials familiar with the development added that the relevant authorities had received a summary from the Federal Director-General for Education.

Students in state schools will be promoted to the next grade based on the grades they have achieved in the last year, the sources said. Grades 1 through 8 students were promoted based on last year’s exams, which resulted in 90% of students passing.

The government has approved the resumption of face-to-face teaching and students in grades 1 to 8 will return to schools in Islamabad from Monday (tomorrow).
