Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan launched the Ehsaas Saving Wallets (Ehsaas Bachat bank account) initiative under the Ehsaas Financial Inclusion Strategy in Islamabad on Monday.
“At the ceremony, the PM Khan said the federal government’s Ehsaas program is considered the fourth largest successful initiative in the world in the coronavirus pandemic. Poverty in Pakistan can be reduced by creating jobs for women,” he added.

One Woman One Bank Account Policy
The recently opened Ehsaas Mobile Savings Account (Ehsaas Bachat) will deepen the financial inclusion initiated under the One Woman One Bank Account Policy.
The design of the Ehsaas Bachat bank account is simple in the following way: The accounts are aimed at Ehsaas Kafalat beneficiaries; Beneficiaries can open these accounts in agent shops or ATMs.
Early transactions through these accounts include balance inquiries, cash inflow, and outflow, transferring funds received from Ehsaas to mobile accounts, topping up mobile phones, paying utility bills and money transfers, etc.
It is worth mentioning here that the beneficiaries of Ehsaas Kafalat Program 2021 now have the option of withdrawing their money or saving money in digital wallets.
Ehsas Kafalat beneficiaries can open these accounts in agent shops or at ATMs. Initial transactions through these accounts include balance inquiries, cash inflows, and outflows, transferring funds received from Ehsaas to mobile accounts, topping up mobile phones, paying utility bills, and money transfers.
Objective of Ehsaas Mobile Savings Account (Ehsaas Bachat) Bank Account
The aim of this program is to promote savings that have been shown to contribute to poverty reduction. It will deepen the financial inclusion initiated under the One Woman Bank Account Policy.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will also be briefed on the specific features of this Ehsaas financial inclusion initiative.
From now on, the beneficiaries of Ehsaas Kafaalat have the option of withdrawing their money or saving money in digital wallets.
